dickersonDr. Bobby Dickerson has been in the Christian ministry for over 34 years since beginning as a student pastor at Brown Springs Community Church in 1974. He is a graduate of Central Bible College, Texas Christian University’s Brite Divinity School, and Trinity Evangelical Seminary. He was ordained on April 1st, 1984 in Montezuma, Iowa. Interim Minister, Youth Minister, Associate Minister, Principal of a Christian School K-12th, United Naval Reserve Chaplain, Hospital Chaplain, and Hospice Chaplain are a number of ways he has served Christ’s Church and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Dr. Dickerson became Beneva Christian Church's Senior Minister on June 1st, 2007, after having served the last twenty-five years of his ministry in Iowa with the Upper Midwest Region. He is married to Leanne, a retired Physician’s Assistance, and they have three grown sons and three grandsons.

fulkertGreg Fulkert was born in Nierenberg, Germany where his father was stationed in the American army.  Upon returning to the States, he lived his first five years in Ohio, then his family moved to Sarasota, where he has resided ever since.  Greg studied accordion starting at age 11, and began saxophone and piano lessons five years later. He played saxophone in Concert and Jazz Band and sang in the choir at Manatee Community college, from which he graduated.  He worked in the banking industry after college for a short time, and then was employed by Tropicana for 20 years in computer operations. For the last 10 years, he has been employed by Mullets Appliances. Greg has been the part-time Music Director at Beneva Christian Church since 2006. He directs the Chancel Choir and plays electric bass and sings with 1n’Faith, Beneva's contemporary group.  He has participated in mission trips to England, Ireland, Mexico, the Yucatan peninsula, and Honduras.  Greg is blessed with two children and a supporting wife, and is always open to God’s promptings.

overleyJanene has studied piano and organ for many years. She majored in music at Western Illinois University and Syracuse University (NY) where she studied (and acquired a love for) sacred choral works under the renowned composer and choral director Paul Christiansen (St. Olaf College). She was a Chautauqua music scholar and sang with a 300-voice choir of music educators which produced two albums of sacred music. She was a member of The Classic Chorale, Chicago Symphony Chorus and Chicago Chamber Choir in Chicago. She has played professionally for many years and has been musical director and/or accompanist for many Broadway theatrical productions, children's shows, a comedy group and various classical instrumental and vocal soloists. Janene also teaches piano and is a member of the American Guild of Organists and Sarasota Choral Society. She has been a church organist/pianist for the past 5 years. She attended the Brigham Young University Organ Conference and Workshop in Utah in 2008.
